Coronavirus update from the dental hospital

There have been media announcements in in recent weeks regarding the opening of dental practices. At a national level there is a will to reopen NHS dental care at all levels from 8 June. However at present we are not in a position to restart our usual work.

The Dental Hospital at The Royal London Hospital is currently operating as an Urgent Dental Care Hub to support primary care dentists to assess and treat urgent dental symptoms for all people.

If you have urgent dental symptoms please contact your own dental practice first, if you aren’t registered with a dental practice please call 111. If you are based in London you will be assessed by the London Dental Triage Service and provided an onward assessment or management plan.

If you have been referred to our services before the corona virus close down (before 18 March 2020) or are currently a patient with our services please refer to our emergency clinic
